Over these 30+ years in the field, my passion has never changed. I am truly blessed to continue serving families and being a part of their children’s lives.
Childcare has always been my passion. I became a licensed babysitter at just 13 years old. By my early 20s, I was volunteering at the YMCA’s afterschool program, where I served for two years. In 1997, I landed my first job at a childcare center as a school-age assistant. Over the next six years, I advanced to preschool assistant, toddler assistant, and eventually lead toddler teacher.
When that center closed, I transitioned to a new center and continued working as a lead toddler teacher for three years. Wanting to grow further in the field, I earned my CDA in preschool and became certified in 2005.
In 2010, I launched my own in-home daycare as a Type B provider, caring for just six children at a time. As the need grew, I expanded to serving up to 40 children in a full 24-hour, 7-day-a-week program.
In 2017, I opened a licensed Type A center, caring for up to 80 children each week. During the 2020 pandemic, I started my first small early preschool, BrightStart, with my oldest son. By the end of 2021 and into 2025, I opened two more centers—Creative Kidz Connection with my best friend, and Unique Kidz Care Learning Center.

Unique Kidz Care Learning Center, our largest program, was designed for children with developmental delays, ADHD, ADD, and other diagnoses. We’re currently developing a special sensory room to support our children with unique developmental needs.

At Unique Kidz Care Learning Center, we’re proud to offer our largest and most specialized program — thoughtfully created for children with developmental delays, ADHD, ADD, sensory processing challenges, and other diagnoses. Our goal is to meet each child exactly where they are and give them the tools and support they need to succeed.
Our experienced team uses a patient, individualized approach that honors each child’s pace and personality. We’re currently developing a dedicated sensory room designed to provide calming, stimulating, and therapeutic experiences that help children regulate their emotions, improve focus, and feel more at ease throughout the day.
Every child deserves a space where they feel seen, supported, and celebrated. At Unique Kidz Care, we don’t just make room for different learners — we create a place where they can truly belong.
